Scott was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, graduated from Tennessee Tech University, and will receive his Master’s Degree in Divinity from Liberty University this December. Scott found CrossFit nine years ago, and has been a coach for the past five years. Coming from a martial arts background and earning two black belts, he found that CrossFit was the perfect compliment for his own personal training. Outside of the gym, Scott is in training to be a fisher of men, and loves to spend time with family and friends. Scott is currently our head coach at CrossFit RailBirds and has his Level 2 Certification, as well as the CrossFit Weightlifting Seminar Certification.
I am 21 years old and I am currently attending ETSU, majoring in Criminal Justice. I started CrossFit around two years ago and after getting my L1 Trainer certification, I began coaching a year later. Before CrossFit I was in terrible shape and never would have thought I would come to love working out everyday. By coaching I hope to make members enjoy coming in to have fun, work out, and push them towards living a healthy lifestyle.
Heath is from Kingsport, Tennessee. He attended ETSU where he pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Heath started Crossfit as a way to get in shape in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since. Prior to finding Crossfit, he participated in wrestling, running and general weight lifting. He also enjoys hiking and spending time with friends and family.
“ I do Crossfit to help me become the best version of myself. It’s a sport that is exciting for me because I am always learning new movements and involved in a positive community. My favorite part about CrossFit is helping others pursue their goals and getting them in the best shape of their life.”

He started CrossFit in 2014, got his CrossFit Level 1 in July 2018, and has been coaching since February 2019. Tiffany (or just Tiff to her friends) is an army baby who grew up in Kingsport after her father’s retirement from the US Army. She graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Chemistry and worked as a lab technologist before becoming a full-time mother to her two sons, Caleb and Ethan. She is married to her high school-sweetheart, Scott, who is the head coach at CrossFit RailBirds.
Her CrossFit journey began five years ago, when a friend put her name down on a Fitness Challenge list at the local CrossFit box as a joke. She decided to accept that challenge, and was able to shed over 140 pounds and completely turn her health and life around thanks to CrossFit. She then went on to earn her CF-L1 Trainer certification in September 2018. Although she loves the challenges of the constant variety of workouts and functional movements in CrossFit, her favorite part of coming to the box every day is her love for the community of friends she has made at CrossFit RailBirds.
